First Annual Daddy Daughter Dance
By Angelina Sanchez and Jaidyn Woods
The Daddy Daughter Dance was a day for every girl and their dads to have the most fun they can possibly have, ever! All the girls and their dads had a fun time at the First Annual Daddy Daughter Dance. We had drinks, food, and a lot of candy. So that was a lot of fun for us.
We had an amazing DJ that put on a lot of cool songs that my dad and I learned. It was so cool because the dads danced with us.There were lights stringed along the gym walls and glow-in-the-dark balloons. There was cute paper candy on the walls.
We had to extend the time from 8 to 9 because we were having so much fun. We wanted to stay longer but we had to clean the gym. I left at almost 9 because we were waiting for our pictures. So speaking for all of us I would say that was the best night of our lives.
Some people who were invited to TLC’s First Annual Daddy Daughter Dance were dads, their daughters (from TLC), and high-schoolers who had to do community service. There were teachers there as well, and they helped out alot. There were also fun activities like face painting and taking photos. Jenny was the main photographer, and she did an amazing job. When getting your picture taken, you also could have used different props- serious or silly!
I can truly say that this Daddy Daughter Dance was a great success. Around 230 daughters and their dads came, which is almost the entire Discovery (but there weren't just middle schoolers there). I highly suggest people should come next year because, for a lot of people, this was an opportunity for daughters and their dads to bond together and spend time with each other. Also, not to mention, we had an amazing DJ, photographer, face painters, food servers, teacher helpers and everything. Overall, this was an extraordinary event that was an incredible experience to share with your dad.
Thank you to Coach KV!!!!!
